About the Yatra

A journey crafted with reverence

The Char Dham Yatra is the most revered pilgrimage in the Indian Himalayas, covering the four sacred abodes: Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Our 14-day group package is meticulously designed to provide a supportive and spiritually enriching environment for devotees of all ages. Traveling in a group offers the unique joy of shared devotion (Satsang) and mutual encouragement during the more challenging parts of the journey. We handle all the complexities of mountain travel—from securing comfortable accommodations near the shrines to managing priority darshan and ritual assistance. Our experienced tour managers ensure that the logistics are seamless, allowing you to focus entirely on your prayers and the majestic beauty of the Devbhumi (Land of the Gods). From the thermal springs of Yamunotri to the powerful energy of Kedarnath and the divine serenity of Badrinath, this yatra is a complete spiritual reset.

Day by Day

Itinerary

Day1

Arrival in Delhi

Welcome to the start of your spiritual journey. Our team will meet you at the airport or railway station and transfer you to your hotel. In the evening, we will have a group meeting to introduce the tour manager and fellow pilgrims, followed by a briefing on the itinerary and mountain etiquette.

Day2

Delhi → Haridwar

We drive to the holy city of Haridwar, the gateway to the gods. After checking into the hotel, we head to Har Ki Pauri for the world-renowned evening Ganga Aarti. The sight of thousands of lamps floating on the river is a powerful beginning to the yatra.

Day3

Haridwar → Barkot

Our journey into the mountains begins. We drive to Barkot, located at the foot of the Yamunotri glacier. The drive offers beautiful views of the Yamuna River. Barkot is our base for the trek to Yamunotri tomorrow.

Day4

Yamunotri Darshan

A 6-km trek takes us to the first of the four dhams: Yamunotri. You can choose to walk, take a pony, or a palki. After a ritual bath in the natural hot springs of Surya Kund, offer prayers at the Yamunotri temple. We return to Barkot in the evening.

Day5

Barkot → Uttarkashi

We drive to Uttarkashi, situated on the banks of the Bhagirathi River. Uttarkashi is known as the "Kashi of the North." In the evening, we visit the ancient Vishwanath Temple and the Shakti Temple with its massive brass trident.

Day6

Gangotri Darshan

A scenic drive through the Harsil Valley brings us to Gangotri, where the holy Ganga descended to earth. After a holy dip in the icy waters of the Bhagirathi, we attend the morning prayers at the temple and spend time in meditation by the river.

Day7

Uttarkashi → Guptkashi

A long but beautiful drive as we transition from the Bhagirathi valley to the Mandakini valley. Guptkashi is home to the ancient Vishwanath Temple, where it is believed Lord Shiva proposed to Goddess Parvati. This is our staging point for Kedarnath.

Day8

Kedarnath Darshan

The most physically and spiritually intense day. We drive to Sonprayag and then trek 16 km to Kedarnath. Alternatively, helicopter services are available. After checking into our guest house near the temple, we attend the powerful evening aarti at the Kedarnath shrine.

Day9

Return to Guptkashi

After an early morning darshan and path (ritual reading) at the temple, we begin our descent back to Sonprayag and drive to Guptkashi. The rest of the day is for rest and recovery after the trek.

Day10

Guptkashi → Badrinath

We drive to the final and most prominent of the dhams, Badrinath. The route goes via Joshimath, where we visit the Narasimha Temple. Upon arrival in Badrinath, check into the hotel and enjoy the divine atmosphere of the temple town.

Day11

Badrinath Darshan

The day begins with a ritual bath in the Tapt Kund (natural hot springs) followed by darshan at the Badrinath Temple. Later, we visit Mana Village, the last Indian village before the Tibet border, and see the Vyas Gufa where the Mahabharata was composed.

Day12

Badrinath → Rudraprayag

We begin our descent, driving to Rudraprayag, the confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. We visit the confluences (Prayags) along the way, which are significant spiritual landmarks in the Himalayan landscape.

Day13

Rudraprayag → Haridwar → Delhi

The final leg of the drive takes us back through Rishikesh and Haridwar. We stop for a final blessing by the Ganga before continuing the drive back to Delhi. A farewell dinner marks the end of our shared pilgrimage.

Day14

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport or railway station for your journey home, carrying with you the divine blessings and memories of a lifetime from the Char Dham.
